GOV. OWENS STATEMENT REGARDING THE CAPTURE OF SADDAM HUSSEIN
(DENVER) - Gov. Bill Owens today issued the following statement regarding the
capture of Saddam Hussein:
"Today is a great day for Iraq and a great day for freedom. The capture of
Saddam Hussein - a brutal, fascist dictator with the blood of millions on his
hands - means peace will come sooner to Iraq. This is a testament to the courage
and effectiveness of the U.S. military and all of us are proud of their
achievement."
