OWENS APPOINTS COLE A. WIST TO THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES FOR MESA STATE COLLEGE
(DENVER) – Gov. Bill Owens today announced the appointment of Cole A. Wist of Centennial to the Board of Trustees for Mesa State College.
“Colorado’s colleges and universities succeed because of good leadership and responsible stewardship,” said Owens. “Cole Wist’s experience and knowledge make him a superb addition to the Board of Trustees for Mesa State College.”
After graduating from The University of Denver, Wist received his law degree from Georgetown University. He is a member of the Governor’s Task Force on Civil Justice Reform, the Safety Committee of the Colorado Mining Association, and Club 20. Wist specializes in environmental, health, and occupational-safety law. He has counseled clients regarding all aspects of crisis management, regulatory enforcement, and liability prevention.
The Board of Trustees for Mesa State College makes policy for the school and oversees its operation.
The board consists of five members, all of whom serve four-year terms and must receive Senate confirmation.
