MARCH STATE REVENUES EXCEED PROJECTIONS BY $22 MILLION
Owens: Numbers Show Colorado's Economy On The Right Track
(DENVER) - Underscoring the continuing good news about Colorado's economic recovery, the Office of State Planning and Budgeting (OSPB) today reported that state revenues for March 2004 were $22 million ahead of the Office's forecast.
"Revenues coming in ahead of our budget office's projections is a tangible and encouraging sign of how Colorado's economy is coming back," said Gov. Bill Owens. "These numbers show us that business activity is picking up and that investors are encouraged and optimistic about our state's economic future. The light at the end of the fiscal tunnel we've been in for the past few years keeps getting brighter and brighter."
Throughout the current fiscal year, monthly tax collections have been generally above the levels seen in prior years.
