OWENS APPOINTS MIKE FEELEY TO THE COLORADO COMMISSION ON HIGHER EDUCATION
(DENVER) - Gov. Bill Owens today announced the appointment of Mike Feeley ofLakewood to the Colorado Commission on Higher Education (CCHE).
"The Colorado Commission on Higher Education helps us strengthen our commitment to Colorado's institutions of higher learning," said Owens. "Mike's extensive legislative experience will be a valuable asset for the commission."
Mike Feeley is an attorney with Baker & Hostetler LLP. From 1993-2001, Feeley served as a state senator in the Colorado Legislature. From 1994-2001, he served as the Senate Minority Leader. Feeley graduated magna cum laude with a degree in economics from the University of Colorado at Boulder and received his law degree from the University of Denver.
CCHE acts as a central policy and coordinating board for Colorado public higher education. It works in consultation with the governing boards of higher education institutions in the development and implementation of legislative directives and statewide higher education policy.
The board consists of eleven members, all of whom require Senate confirmation.
