The House and Senate have a new practice in
2008 for journalists who wish to be on the chamber floors during debate. The Colorado Capitol Press
Association -- made up of full-time correspondents at the Capitol -- will make
recommendations on press credentials to the President of the Senate and the
Speaker of the House. Please click below for the association's rules,
directions on how to apply, and an application form.
(The application form is provided as both a PDF and a
Microsoft Word document). Completed applications can be
emailed to CoCapitolPress@gmail.com. After the first of the year,
applications can be hand-delivered to the press room
in the Capitol, room 351. Please send questions to CoCapitolPress@gmail.com.
