1.  Deleted by amendment.

2.  This act was passed without a safety clause. It shall take effect January 1, 2000, unless a referendum petition is filed during the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly that is allowed for submitting a referendum petition pursuant to article V, section 1 (3) of the state constitution. If such a referendum petition is filed against this act or an item, section, or part of this act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part, if approved by the people, shall take effect on the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by proclamation of the governor.

3.  This act was passed without a safety clause. It shall take effect at 12:01 a.m. on the day following the expiration of the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly that is allowed for submitting a referendum petition pursuant to article V, section 1 (3) of the state constitution; except that, if a referendum petition is filed against this act or an item, section, or part of this act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part, if approved by the people, shall take effect on the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by proclamation of the governor.

6.  Paragraph (f) will be renumbered as paragraph (g) in the 1999 Colorado Revised Statutes for ease of location.

7.  Subsection (1), defining "Address of record", will be renumbered as subsection (1.1) in the 1999 Colorado Revised Statutes.

8.  Subsection (1), defining "Affiliation", will be renumbered as subsection (1.2) in the 1999 Colorado Revised Statutes.

10.  This provision will be renumbered as and harmonized with section 6-1-709 (1) (a) as relocated from 6-1-105 in S99-143.

It shall take effect August 15, 1999, unless a referendum petition is filed during the ninety-day period after final adjournment of the general assembly that is allowed for submitting a referendum petition pursuant to article V, section 1 (3) of the state constitution. If such a referendum petition is filed against this act or an item, section, or part of this act within such period, then the act, item, section, or part, if approved by the people, shall take effect on the date of the official declaration of the vote thereon by proclamation of the governor.
