Mission Statement, Services and Functions

DoIT is comprised of Telecommunication Services, formerly the Division of Telecommunications; Computing Services, formerly the General Government Computer Center or GGCC; Information / Archival Services, formerly the Division of State Archives and Public Records; Customer Services; Business Services; and Communications Services

DoIT will provide leadership in the planning and coordination of information technology across the state. The changing world of technology coupled with the diverse missions of governmental agencies makes the leadership role essential to the effective and efficient delivery of information.

DoIT will benefit the State of Colorado by:

 

Providing the ability to apply resources, both financial and staff, where and when they are needed to meet customer expectations.

 

Providing coordination across DoIT to take advantage of the rapidly changing technological environment.

 

Providing complete customer support through an integration of individual help desks. The Customer Services unit will provide "one stop shopping" support for all applications, communications, hardware and archiving supported by Colorado Department of Personnel & Administration.
