Computing Services is responsible for the management and operation of the state's information data center (previously called the General Government Computer Center or GGCC). The computing center is separated into operational support and technical support. Both of these units provide this type of assistance to state agencies. The unit's responsiblity requires the maintenance and operation of the data center on a 24 hour, seven days a week basis, 365 days a year. It is also responsible for maintenance and operation of operating software, including databases to accomplish its functions.
