Working Together is governed by a Board of Directors, which is comprised of up to 16 unpaid volunteers.  Currently there are nine employees, four retirees, the executive director (or appointee) of the Department of Personnel & Administration, and the President of the Credit Union of Colorado (or appointee) who serves as Treasurer.

The role of the Board is to set policy and the general direction for the foundation, review grant applications, raise funds, manage finances, recruit volunteers, and promote the foundation.
